Shedding Light on the Future

Setting the Mood

I’m working on a little photo-essay about Anya’s Jungian Tarot readings, so on Saturday we had a shoot at her house with one of my other favorite coworkers. Regina is eight months pregnant; most of the cards had something to say about that, as you might expect. Apart from that, I’m writing a freelance article about the how-to’s of insect-collecting, so naturally I’m having a grand time teasing Ross about his childhood proclivities, while asking him questions to help me with my piece.

“Okay, what are some things to look out for when you’re assessing the quality of an insect collection…

……butterfly murderer?”

And he’s working on Hebrew homework, so I got a “postcard from Tokyo.” Among other things, it says “I am studying Japanese and drinking Sake with students… In Tokyo there are many theaters and supermarkets!”

Busy, busy. Today we were busy looking for an art gallery that first appeared not to exist and then turned out to be closed, which was a bummer but gave us an excuse to have lunch at the always wonderful Parish Cafe. And then we were very busy taking a 2.5 hour nap in the afternoon. The toil just never ends.

I’m sure that 2.5 hour “nap” was spent sleeping… uh-huh. Don’t try to lie. We see it in your face.

Can’t wait to see the essay — is it being published somewhere?

Oh no, you’re not. You’re not turning my blog into yours. :-P

The essay is part of a project I’m participating in with an online photo-collaborative. Everyone’s piece gets published, which is cool. :-) I’ll link to it when it happens.
