Meet Shelley
Shelley is the first bike I have ever bought for myself, and also the first bike I’ve ever owned (barring those with training wheels) that I actually sit comfortably on without having to stretch my legs to pedal. She has sexy skinny tires, a few well-earned scars, and she’s the prettiest shade of blue this side of Lake Michigan. (The cerulean Lake Michigan itself, to which we rode this afternoon, has Shelley beat on beautiful spring days like today.) So say hi, everyone. Shelley’s a keeper. And let me know if you want to go riding with me someday soon.
P.S. 1,000,000 predatory nematodes are on their way.
P.P.S. Two site changes: I turned the Audio page into an About page, since I didn’t seem to be using the former very much, and I have a new and improved spam killer. If you’ve ever tried to leave me a comment and wondered why it never appeared, the old spam killer is why. The new one won’t require any extra effort on your part, but should allow me to actually see your comment and approve it (if it’s your first one and needs approving). That is all. I expect to be inundated with new commenters, mind, and shall be disappointed if you do not pontificate.

Congratulations! I look forward to meeting her.
Incidentally, today I just realized that, after the move, I’ll be seven hours from Susan and seven hours from you! (By car, not bicycle, alas.)

And I just realized that there is an Amtrak train between Chicago and San Antonio! Time for a quick visit before you leave? ;-) (Heh. By “quick” I guess I must mean “a weekend, plus an additional SIXTY-FOUR hours for train travel.”)

Shelley should meet my ‘Bolide’… mine is a black with the crossbar and a big wicker basket on the front. :-)
